A cannabis extract with a “wet” consistency. The high terpene content as well as the cannabinoids crystallizing creates a separation giving the extract this appearance.
Sugar
Similar to sauce, but typically lower in terpene content. Sugar has a grainy appearance that is drier and often left in chunks.
Shatter
A glass-like concentrate that has a tendency to break cleanly and can “shatter” into pieces during handling. Typically, low in terpene content but easy for the consumer to handle.
Badder
Created by whipping the oil into one homogenous product. This allows you to keep more of the terpenes because you can remove the majority of the solvent with little to no heat or vacuum.
Diamonds
An extract created by using slow evaporation of solvent in a super saturated solution, in order to “crash” or crystallize the THCA out. This results in a formation resembling a diamond.
Fresh Frozen
A term for cannabis that has been frozen immediately after harvest with no time to dry. This keeps the more volatile (easily evaporated) terpenes intact within the starting material.
Live Resin
Produced using fresh frozen material, live resin captures the essence of the living plant by never being exposed to the drying/curing process. Live resin can come in many consistencies including, sauce, sugar, badder, and diamonds.
Cured Resin Cartridges
The high terpene portion after crystallizing an extract. Composed of roughly 50% THC and a high concentration of terpenes.
Distillate Cartridges
Fractionally distilled THC mixed with a small amount of either cannabis derived or food grade terpenes. Distillate is a fully activated, very clean extract.
Rosin
Made without any solvents or chemicals, relying on ice water, heat, and pressure to extract cannabis compounds.
